New Community Multi-Purpose Facility and Grounds
Designed and constructed by Klassen Corporation, the 16,500 s.f. Multi-Purpose Facility includes a conference room, fitness room and offices for the recreation and park district staff. Outside the pre-engineered structure are new swimming pools, softball field, soccer field and a refurbishment of park facilities.
"We met with Marie Parsons and her board extensively to develop a program that both met and exceeded the needs of their community," said Robert Blair, Director of Architecture at Klassen Corporation. "Together we created a design, budget and time line that fast-tracked the project for the quickest, high-quality result."
"We’re delighted to offer this type of facility to our community," said Marie Parsons, Director of the Buttonwillow Recreation and Park District. "We are so grateful to the voters for passing the bond necessary to upgrade our facilities. The end result will be a community center unlike anything Buttonwillow has ever owned."
Funding for the project is provided under Measure F, passed in June of 2008.

The new facility is located on Highway 58 in Buttonwillow, Calif. . A grand opening celebration is expected in December.
